Spring is coming
February 19, 2017
The weather last week was pretty wet so I didn’t manage the two walks/week which were my new year’s resolution. I made up for it today though with a walk through our farm and across to the other side of the Sorgwm valley to drop off a birthday card at a neighbour’s. Spring arrives slowly around here, with just some tantalising signs such as hazel catkins blowing lightly in the breeze and clumps of snowdrops, with their delicate, waxy petals coyly hung, nestling in sheltered banks. The mossy, fallen tree trunks are as evocative as ever and I wonder about the hundreds of creatures making their home amongst the bark and moss. All in all, a lovely Sunday morning walk.
