There’s nothing much to see on the outside of the studio so far, but plans are progressing and the new floor joists for the first floor have been installed. The next job is to repoint one of the external walls with traditional lime mortar, before the weather becomes too cold. Lime mortar does not cure below 5ºC so the race is on to get this work done before the winter sets in. We have been blessed with a calm, mild autumn so far so let’s hope it continues for a few more weeks. The major task upcoming is to take down one gable wall to ground level and rebuild it. Let’s hope the builders prop up the rest of the building while that’s happening!
