Winter spinning project
February 13, 2017
Winter has well and truly arrived in the Brecon Beacons, with snow showers and biting easterly winds. It’s a good job the sheep have their thick coat of wool to protect them from the cold and wet and they really don’t seem to mind the weather too much. Here’s a photo of my latest spinning commission, a mountain sheep - Badger Face Torddu - it’s a lamb fleece and has come up surprisingly soft and very bouncy as I have spun it longdraw. From Gabriel’s back to skeins of finished yarn, just waiting to be made into a lovely, natural coloured project. Thank you Gabriel for your wool!
